The connectivity of Ayodhya and Kamakhya will bring significant benefits to the people of Bharat, particularly devotees, by facilitating easier pilgrimage routes between these two important religious sites. Assam's Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma's discussions with Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw highlighted the importance of improved railway connectivity in Assam, including the potential establishment of rail manufacturing entities in the state. Direct train services between Kamakhya and Ayodhya will offer convenience and spiritual fulfillment to countless devotees. Additionally, exploring train routes between Assam’s Barak Valley and West Bengal via Bangladesh will further enhance regional connectivity.

The substantial allocation of Rs. 2.62 lakh crores for the Railways in the Union Budget 2024-25, with significant funds dedicated to safety and infrastructure improvements, underscores the government's commitment to developing the railway network. The redevelopment of 60 stations under the Amrit Bharat Stations Scheme, including 50 in Assam, will provide world-class facilities and boost economic and social development in the region. In conclusion, the proposed railway initiatives, including the direct connectivity between Ayodhya and Kamakhya, the establishment of rail manufacturing in Assam, and enhanced regional routes, promise to deliver substantial benefits to the people of Bharat. These efforts underscore the government's commitment to improving infrastructure, boosting economic growth, and fostering cultural and spiritual connectivity across the nation.
