On the auspicious occasion of Ram Navami, Assam witnessed a heart-touching tribute to our cultural roots and devotion. In a historic gathering at the Raichai Rural Sports Ground in Demow, Sivasagar, over 10,000 women came together to sing the sacred Biya Naam in unison – a beautiful expression of tradition and devotion where the name of Prabhu Shri Ram is lovingly invoked.

Biya Naam, an essential part of every Assamese wedding, reflects the soul of our heritage. No marriage is considered complete without it, and through these devotional songs, the name of Ram continues to bless our families and future generations.

This event beautifully captured the essence of unity, culture, and womanhood. The initiative is now being considered for the Assam Book of Records, and rightfully so.

This celebration was more than a performance – it was a living testament to how deeply Prabhu Shri Ram is woven into the daily lives of Assamese people.
